‘Face the Truth’ is X.Kernel’s debut long-play, telling stories of mental and social diseases able to break and tear apart any single individual as well as the humanity as a whole.
It is symbolically divided to two parts.
The first part is ‘personal’, telling about fatigue and devastation leading a soul to madness. Starting from full soul's exhaustion, twisted mind is brought through pain to absolute emptiness, indistinguishable from mental death.
The second, ‘martial’ part is dedicated to mankind’s fight with extraneous forces for ghostly future and survival. Soul, passed through fire and death, faces no fate and can't find rest even in the grave.

The quality of Face The Truth was recognised by US label Cimmerian Shade Recordings who were quick to welcome X.Kernel to their roster. Now, on April 7th, the rest of the world will be able to hear the results of this metallic alliance. X.Kernel have combined a mastery of established forms with a fresh and expansive outlook, married depth and emotion to technical skill and forged an album that will capture hearts, minds and souls with its arrival on the field of battle.

"Techy grooving melodic death metal. Keyboard stuff, cool guitars, growly vox. Catchy and proggy too." WORT-FM Mosh Pit

"It’s a bumpy adventure that is full of twists and turns and although mostly smooth does contain a few cobbles along the way that throw you into the path of an oncoming train!" 9.5/10 paganhelrevies.blogspot.com

Track Name: Interludium
To pause there would be to confirm the hopeless finality of a belief that two atomic colossi are doomed malevolently to eye each other indefinitely across a trembling world. To stop there would be to accept helplessly the probability of civilization destroyed, the annihilation of the irreplaceable heritage of mankind handed down to us from generation to generation, and the condemnation of mankind to begin all over again the age-old struggle upward from savagery towards decency, and right, and justice. Surely no sane member of the human race could discover victory in such desolation. Could anyone wish his name to be coupled by history with such human degradation and destruction?Occasional pages of history do record the faces of the "great destroyers", but the whole book of history reveals mankind's never-ending quest for peace and mankind's God-given capacity to build.
